Check 21 Model Disclosure

To make check processing faster, federal law permits banks to replace original checks with substitute checks. These are legal copies of checks. Customer's can use them the same way they would use the original check, and can present them as proof of payment just as they would the original check. This tool describes rights the customer has when they receive substitute checks.
