Slight decline in bank trading revenue
The OCC has released its Quarterly Report on Bank Trading and Derivatives Activities for the fourth quarter 2019, which reported trading revenue of U.S. commercial banks and federal savings associations of $7.2 billion, which was $4.0 million, or 0.1 percent, less than the previous quarter. The report noted that trading revenue in the fourth quarter 2019 increased by 78.5 percent compared with the $4.0 billion reported in the fourth quarter 2018.
