Course description

HMDA has many definitions and rules that affect reporting of individual transactions; however, knowing whether your financial institution should be reporting comes first. This 1-hour update will review the various reporting thresholds, exclusions and exemptions that must be considered before you ever look at a single loan or application.

This webinar will clear the clouds by explaining how this all works, including:

  • Closed end loans & Open-end loans lines thresholds – what is closed-end and what is open-end, what is counted, what is temporary, what is not temporary but may change;
  • Partial exemptions – what institutions are eligible, what are the thresholds and what is counted;
  • When to report after meeting a threshold;
  • What to do when a threshold has not been met.

The information presented will be helpful for compliance officers, lenders, auditors, examiners – anyone who needs to understand the intricacies of small business and small farm loans for CRA success.
