Does anyone know where I can find "how often" the BSA Department should be audited? The reason I need this is we are putting together some policy & procedures on this and I was asked how often BSA is suppose to be audited independently. Not counting FDIC or State. I have looked in the FFIEC Manual but can't find anything saying it should be done however often at a minimum.

The FFIEC exam manual recommends every 12 - 18 months, depending on the bank's risk profile.

Take a look at page 30 of the exam manual under Independent Testing. I'd attach a link, but I use the paper version of the manual!
