My institution wants to have a type of savings account available that's not advertised in the standard product brochure.
I noticed my last bank had also had a savings account available that they didn't really 'advertise' (it didn't have a minimum balance, so they really only offered it in certain circumstances).
Is there anything wrong with this practice? I've done searches in the advertising and marketing sections and came up empty.
I will make sure that the rates for this type of account are listed on the rate sheet that we make available to customers, but is there anything else I need to be concerned about?
