I am looking for a good set of guidelines for bank record retention. I realize that state law will vary, but I'd like to review some existing guidelines for one or more states and compare some of the retention requirements. I thought the Oklahoma Bankers Association had an available record retention site, but I can't find it now. All help will be appreciated. Thanks,

The American Bankers Association use dto sell a book that had every state's record retention requirements in it. I'll try to find out if they're still marketing it or not. In the meantime, I may be able to help you if you have a specific record or category you're interested in. Are you Washington as in state of or as in DC?
