Done, but no lights, no tree this year. Keeping focus on Christ.

I did choose the "other" option, cause I'm not stressing, but I'm not done - have a few more gifts to buy, but I'm halfway there. Not decorating a lot this year, but did put up a few things.

I let my fingers do the shopping on Black Friday so pretty much done with gifts. Tree is up and that will probably be the extent of decorating for this year. Weekends in December are slated for football playoffs so extras (like baking) will probably not get done this year.

Also, first Christmas without my dad so I think my sister and I are going to keep it low key. Not sad, just low key...

Brought the Menorah up from the basement; candles bought and ready. Presents wrapped, (we only do the eight nights for the kids, hubby and I exchange one,) and I'm still knitting a sweater for my soon-to-be-nephew, but as he is still in the womb, he won't notice if it's late.

I've got most of my gifts bought and shipped. I just need to wrap what I have.

I'm ready... Got the lights up with my MERRY CHRISTMAS sign. Bought a bag of charcoal just need to find stockings big enough to stuff all that coal into.

Sat down and made a list of people the buy stuff for the other night, have ideas for most, ordered a few things online, and I'm sure the rest will just magically fall into place here eventually! (Meaning she'll buy it all and hand me receipts, then demand cash)

I started decorating last night. I probably won't be done until Christmas Eve. My tree will go up tonight, but won't decorate it until Big Guy is back from college next week. Lotsa shopping Black Friday, but my favorite is Christmas Eve in the mall just wandering and picking up little gifts. I have to do that early , though, cuz I have the family over that night. I don't know if I said this in another thread, but I so love the holidays!!!

I need to buy two more gift, wrap the gifts from "Santa" and I'm done. Tree is up, the inside of the house is decorated, we don't put lights up. Last time we did, we didn't take them down until Feb, when we got a "friendly" letter from our HOA.

A "maroon" was a common, though mild, epithet frequently hurled by a certain long-eared cartoon character, as in, "what a maroon".

Apparently, Happy has spelled the term analeptically in the fear that the BOL censor might delete the term if it were spelled correctly.

The term also refers to a color, a deep shade of red.
