Our bank's main office and only branch are in non-msa's. We are opening a branch in an MSA this June. I believe that means we need to collect HMDA beginning in January 2005 for reporting in March of 2006. Do I have to report loans originated in all our offices, or just those applications taken at the branch in the MSA? I remember seeing something about that in the past, but can't find anything about this in the regulation or commentary. Thank you.

Sorry, but once you become a HMDA reporter you report all eligible loans.

If you don't have it here's a link to the A Guide to HMDA Reporting - Getting it Right. Since you have some time you'll want to take that time and become familiar with this publication.
