I received an email from my bank advertising a contest to win tickets to a music concert. I don't want to get any more of these and clicked the link at the bottom of the email to opt out. Only - there were no boxes on the form for me to check (even tho' the screen clearly said to check a box). I contacted the bank's customer service dept. via their email address on the website and got a response back that I needed to call the bank to opt out.

Is there a Federal Reg. about this, and if so - what is it?
