We are currently searching for a product to verify international customers. What product is your bank using for International Identity Verification?

I use Lexis Nexis to verify passports. You can also enter a social security number and it will tell you all names that are using that Social.

Like any such database, it only works if another subscriber has reported them.

Yes, they charge for whatever you do. Our loan department uses it also. It will tell you if a passport is valid. You do need an acutal copy of the passport because there's more to it than just entering a passport number, you need to enter the lines at the bottom that have a bunch of <<<<. For the SS search, hopefully there is only one name that appears. It looks to me that the first name that appears on the list is likely the person the SS is assigned to (but it doesn't tell you that). You can usually judge by the issue date and sometimes the state issued. Common sense type of review. There is a TON of information you can pull from Lexis Nexis. Related companies, employers, bankrupcy, arrests, court documents.

Is the international I.D. checking guide still available through the BOL Banker Store?

The link doesn't take me to it so I didn't know if it's no longer available or located elsewhere. Thanks!

There is an 2014 I.D. Checking Guide available through BOL. It covers the US and Canada. It also has examples of various consular cards, military IDs, US Federal documents such as Visa's, resident alien cards and passports.
