We take applications from customers and pass them along to leasing companies. I'm wondering how much due diligence I need to perform on the finance companies and banks that we send these deals to.

At first, I didn't think much was required but now I am second guessing myself.

Can someone who has a similar line of business weigh in?

I would check on their licensing, BBB, information security standards, proper incorporation.

Are you getting paid for forwarding these on??? The answer to that would definitely impact the amount of due diligence one should be doing.
