Okay, where is the CBS report on the Dan Rather incident involving the use of fraudulent documents in his 48 Hours report?

The issue seems to has disappeared and the media are not asking questions.

Will CBS now attempt to bury this issue now that the election is over?

C'mon, you must be kidding. CBS tried to bury the fact that Bush won the election. Did you really think they were going to issue a press release saying that Rather lied?

Dan Rather is resigning from Evening News. Safe to say that is the conclusion of the report.

I agree, I believe that will be the end of the story...until he writes his book...

No, the end of the story will be CBS forces him to resign from 60 Minutes II, or their news division continues to circle the bowl.

They will let him ease into retirement, letting him do a handful of stories a year for 60 minutes, then ease him out gracefully.

Since he is leaving, I think it would be more like trying to sneak the football out of the Rose Bowl.

I have heard that the investigative report on the incident is coming out next month. One of the reasons Rather was allowed to resign this month was to allay the thought that hiw resignation was due to the National Guard scandal.
