Thanks to all those who wished me well - The twins were born 2 1/2 weeks ago and are incredible little beings! Life, as you can imagine, has changed dramatically. Chaos reigns and my wife and I want to strangle each other from time to time, but I am hopeful that once we hit that magic point where they both sleep thru the night, things will be better.

Anyway - won't have much time to BOL it, but did see some well wishes and wanted to say thanks.

See ya when baseball season starts, hopefully with a SOSAless team!

Of course, none of this has stopped poor ol' Dave from whippin up on us over in the BOL Fantasy Football league where he was the first team to lock up a playoff spot.
Congratulations on both the football success and more importantly on the family success!

Congrats Cubby! So very happy for you and your family! And yes, things will get better once kids are sleeping through the night. Enjoy your holidays.

All over the map.
Congrats Dave. Enjoy every second (I know, tough to do when you are sleep deprived and covered in baby drool), because you are gonna blink and they will be grown.

Hey Dave...congratulations, sir! No time to BOL but you found JUST enough time to dominate the unofficial BOLFFL!! I think that you ought to send MB a digital shot of your two little Cubbies for a new avatar....but that's just me.

Congratulations Cub Dave! I hope everything continues to go well. Sleeping through the night is a wonderful blessing especially when you have twins, but before you know it they will be crawling and walking in opposite directions! Then you will wish for the days when they just cuddled, ate, slept and pooped.

I don't know what kind of schedule you are on, but if I could give one tip as a mother of twins myself. Try to get them on the same schedule. At first I didn't know if I wanted to do it but it was so worth it! If you finally can get both to go a few hours between feedings at least you can rest during that time. Otherwise the minute you put one down the other one is up, and you get no rest!

Good Luck!

Let's see, twins, a boy and a girl, born 2 1/2 weeks ago...they're not named Phin and Hazel, are they?

Maybe you should write Julia a letter and you could compare notes, comiserate, whatever!

Best wishes to you and your wife. Do post a picture. We love babies!

Congrats Cubby. My daughter is still trying to get used to having just one, and she is two months old. Send us some details, size, names etc.

Double congratulations, Dave. I'm looking forward to twin grandbabies in March and we are busily getting ready for their arrival which we expect to be a little early. You definitely have your hands full and I hope there is a Nana close by.

Well, I pulled Staurday work duty, so I actually have a few quiet moments to look at the threads. Life is chaotic, but my babies are so worth it when they are quiet and sweet. Just one incredible look from them wipes away all the frustration of constant feedings, dirty diapers and crying.

I know a few of you asked for details - My son, Charlie Jerome, was born at 7 lbs 3 oz and my daughter Sydney Addison (yes, after the street where Wrigley Field exists) was born at 6 lbs 14 oz - so 14 lbs of baby, both 20 inches long. They don't look alike at all right now - he is a tank and she is a little peanut. I am not going to post pictures, but don't worry Dawnie, for now, their heads are normal size!
