Suppose there is a trust savings account Jo ITF Jane.
Somewhere along the line Jo's POA (power of attorney and Jo is not disabled at all) comes into the bank and has the beneficiary changed from Jane to Zebra. Jo dies, Zebra comes in and the bank pays him the money. Can Jane sue the bank because a POA doesn't have authority to change the beneficiary on a savings account. If the bank can't show a new signature card ITF Zebra with Jo's signature then the bank should pay. Does the bank recoup the money from Zebra?
