Some of our mobile home loans have the peril of insurance included under a private contract of insurance. None of these policies lists the zone. Our examiners have not criticized this so far, but I am wondering if anyone else has had an issue with this. If so, how did you resolve?

It is a private policy and not a NFIP policy, so they may not rate based on zones. All you have to do is insure that the private policy meets the requirements for acceptance.


I thought all the mobile home insurance companies dropped this type of coverage a year or so ago.....

So did I. I wonder if existing policies are grandfathered until some change is made to the coverage?
