We have had a couple of situations recently where supervisors have suspected that employees are using email inappropriately and have wanted to review their email for a particular time period, etc. Our IT person and I are looking for some kind of form that the supervisor could send to personnel with their request, describe the situation, etc., so we can ensure that the requests are made by the appropriate people and for legitimate reasons. Our employees already know that their email is subject to review so we've coverered our bases there - but we are looking for a way to document. Any suggestions?
