Major Fishing in the SBA Pond

United California Bank, Los Angeles, ended it first year as a full-service Small Business Administration lender by launching its first-ever statewide SBA loan promotion. The campaign started early this year and will run through May. It includes discounted fees on certain small business products, increased marketing efforts and free SBA loan seminars provided by the bank staff. The bank's goal is to educate businesses throughout the state about the advantages of using the SBA loan program. The bank's SBA lending team funded over $41 million in SBA loans last year compared to $215,000 SBA-related loans before it launched a full-scale program.
