24-hour Banking On The Streets Of New York

Dime Savings Bank of New York is introducing 24-hour banking centers, called "DimeXpress", in New York City that are completely automated and include a telephone connection to a live customer service representative. Customers can conduct transactions such as account withdrawals, balance inquiries and transfers, and cash advances using machines. And should they decide in the middle of the night that they need a loan or want to open an account, they can pick up the phone and call a representative.

The bank intends to open additional express branches in highly visible locations such as large shopping centers or near major entertainment venues.
