From Lip-Lock to Lock-Up

Larry Lynch, 35, an ex-con on probation for bank robbery, and Tammy Miller, 37, were obviously in love. You could tell by the way they kissed each other - just before they were arrested.

Larry and Tammy robbed a bank in Phoenix. Their pickup truck was quickly spotted by helicopter pilots, who informed police ground units. They gave chase, but stayed far enough behind in heavy traffic so as not to endanger others.

Tammy was driving, but Larry traded places with her while doing 70 mph! He then hit about 85 mph. By this time, the chase was being broadcast live on TV.

Weaving in and out of traffic, running red lights, the pickup rear-ended a UPS truck, but kept going. A few blocks later an officer tossed a pair of spiked sticks in its path. With shredded tires, the pickup finally came to a halt.

The $7,000 they had stolen was scattered all over the front of the truck, and stuffed into their clothing.

As police officers approached with guns drawn, the two lovers rolled up the windows, locked the doors and proceeded to kiss each other. Officers had to smash the windows and drag them apart to arrest them!
