The Chicago conference was attended by some of the most important investigative reporters in the country. While they were discussing electronic security and fraud, someone managed to get at least three of the reporters' credit card information and used the numbers to make several thousand dollars worth of online purchases in their names! They didn't discover the theft until they got their credit card bills the following month.
