When a teller is offered a bribe

I was offered a $25 bribe not to file a CTR. What should I do when this happens?

Answer:

Politely decline the customer. Then let your BSA officer know. The BSA officer will likely file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and handle that end of the job. You will not know if a SAR is filed or not since the SAR is confidential, but you will have done your part.
