Yes Truffle... they are appealing. Something I don't think I've mentioned is Stacy's mom is also in the midst of battling her 3rd round of cancer. This all has to be so overwhelming for their family.

ah...so the insurance company is 'loosing money' on this family. What a carpload that is! I'm truly sorry for all that they're going through. You're right. I'm definitely looking at my life differently in light of this situation. Prayers continue.

This family has continued to be struck by bad news and tragedy. Stacy still resides in a nursing home, almost 2 years later - suffering from the paralysis etc... from the massive stroke on Christmas Eve 2013. Her mother was diagnosed with her 3rd round of breast cancer, which then spread to her brain. Her father lost his job about 2 weeks ago because he is "not happy at work and clearly needs to be home with his family" (Thank you dumb*** company for taking away the only income in the home and only insurance). And sadly, the mom passed away this last Friday. How much more can a family endure? Her sister has remained so positive through all of this, and dad continues to fight to be the strength/support in the family. It breaks my heart.

My heart breaks for them. Such a sad situation. Sending prayers to them and your family as well.

That's just horrible. Horrible. I cannot fathom all of that going on all at once.

Prayers for the family. I agree that none of us should take anything for granted. We should live every day with a positive attitude and try to make a difference. Tell people we love them and mean it. We know what we are going thru, but we never know what someone else is going thru and it could be worse than our situation.
