Geez. All I have time for on my lunch break is eating lunch! Come-on man, live a little. That's like using your sick days only when you are sick.

So...you went home for lunch...took care of the snow covered dish AND had time for sleding? Good grief!!! Did you miss the part where I 'raced' down the steps? This wasn't a typical lunch hour for me. Just trying to make it a memorable snow day for the kids. So if I had to 'suffer' through a wet sock for the afternoon, so be it.

...So I fgure why change my socks they might get wet anyway. So I take the kids for some quick sled riding. By the time we get back, it's time for me to get back to work since I'm on my lunch break. Dry socks are upstairs, I'm downstairs with boots and coat on and don't want to be too late getting back to work, so it's either one wet sock or really late getting back to work. The wet sock is still bugging me. That wet sock had to be miserable outside. There's ALWAYS time to change a wet sock, period.

I think living in Florida all these years has made you soft. I do hate wet socks, but I'm so happy that the kids have wanted to go out and play in the snow, instead of sitting inside watching TV and playing video games, that I'm willing to sacrifice a little.

Conceivably; my Pittsburgh snow days are far behind me. And, while I can totally appreciate wanting to play with the kids outside, still, a wet sock is a wet and freezing sock when outside in the snow.

Unfortunately sick days are wasted taking care of sicky kids. Little petri dishes!! If we had that much snow, I would have taken an 8-hr lunch break and played all day!!!!

Grab a pair of socks and take them to work with you. Change them at your desk. Or take you wet sock off, go in the bathroom and use the hand dryer to dry it.
