like i said, i dont know what my honor will be from killing 283 guys last night. not bad for only being the second time PvPing though in a battleground filled with experience horde PvPs wouldn't you say?

roots cant be broken unless: their lvl is higher than mine, they are a druid that can shapeshift or if the player receives spell damage.

i know there are differences, im just saying that i saw the reward trinkets and EQ for the battlegrounds for both factions and they were the EXACT SAME.

(btw my project for tonight is to get the trinket that abosrbs damage. only 24 battlegrounds to fight in assuming the usual 100% unsuccess rate )

i started this thread because a friend wanted to know. i was just speaking in 1st person for them.

dont shy away from your WoWness Ron. I hadn't thought about the spec and weapons stuff, i took it for granted everybody played for PvP. That would make a difference.

update:

the alliance has taken the basin!!! last night, under the strategic leadership and tactical aplomb of "Remy", the alliance scored a victory. a 2000-990 blowout i might add. that means, from my experience in arathi, the alliance is now 1-45. not bad.

Congrats. I actually lost 2 WG's last night but won a AB 2000-490 and the last AB I did we had 3 vs 9 to start the match. But instead of capping the flag they camped us. Well finally more Horde showed up and we won about 12 minutes later 3-0.

believe me, i really get upset at the "strategy" many of my fellow alliance members have. i think too many of them play like they are questing. battlegrounds require you to work as a team.

believe me, the past couple of nights ive been in the battlegrounds, i've felt like the characters in that SP episode.

luckily i have a job that prevents me from playing 20 hours a day because i really think that i would.

Ron I just have one question. What are you doing in bg at level 39 anyway? Its a total waste of time if your doing it for the gear. Why spend hundreds (which is what it will take as an alliance player) of hours trying to get gear that will be obsolete once you hit 47 or 48.

Ron, what about your job prevents you from playing WoW all day? Or does your employer actually pay you to argue all day on BOL?

and to answer you question about gear and battlegrounds, it's none of you gd business. i'll live my life, you live yours. cool?

(but since i do like you... it has taken me about 10 hours so far and i almost have everything i want. the talisman takes 30 marks. no way around it. stop equating your reality with that of others: i am sorry it takes you 100s of hours to get the EQ. for how much i actually play, it will take me a couple of weeks to get to 48 anyway. when i am upgrading then, i'll need marks. also, i think bg is a lot of fun.)

Your right, I was just curious if there was stuff that was really good that you could get at those lower levels that you could use up to sixty. I'm guessing there is not, but oh well. Since you seem to love BG so much you really should have joined a pvp server.

Sadly it does take a rediculous amount of time to get all of your goodies for HWL.

that is an interesting question. since you don't know what or how much i do, it is difficult for you to really opine BUT i will say this, the quantity and quality of the work i am paid for is at least equal to what they are paying for.

i should've included a wink or a smiley but i thought the parentheical starting "but since i like you" would be sufficient.

at any rate, everybody has their own version of what they want to get out of the game. i am getting this gear that lvl 38 people become eligible for since i am only a 39. i will also get the gear availbale to the 48 people when that time comes, the 58 gear when that time comes, etc etc. plus, my feeling is this, i may be taking time to do bgs but, with the EQ i have and the know-how of my character's abilities i've learned, i should be able to lvl very quickly when i decided to go back to questing. another part of it is that i am a scorpio and i do not forget what the horde has done to my alliance brethren and i am well on my way to paying them back for it. also, ive only been doing PvP for a couple of days now and it really grew on me. i never had an interest in PvP until now.

what is HWL?


actually the stuff i can get from AB is tons better for my character than anything i can get questing or from the AH (especially since it is pretty much a given that druids ar ethe poorest characters in the game). plus, having this buff EQ will allow me do instances much more easily.

Sorry HWL is High War Lord. Its really good stuff for pvp but you have to be level 60. When you get tier one two or three instance armor its good and it has resistances to damages. But HWL armor has super high stamina, crit, agility and strength ratings. So when it comes to pvp your going to walk right through people. But it wont protect you very well in instances. To he honest I am really excited about the new patch and this weekend my buddy should get his epic war mount :).

the other day a girl in my guild and i were waiting in queue and she said "follow me". i expected a cyber makeout session but she showed my where you buy all of that unbelieveable gear. the epic war mounts cost 20 AV 20 WSG 20 AB marks.

HWL is probably a horde thing.

how will the stuff NOT protect you in instances more than stuff you find questing? sure, there some stuff i would not equip while questing that i would while PvP but for the most part the stuff is better in every aspect. for instance, the epic gear for druids has like +20 intel and spirit along with the stamina and agility boosts.

HWL is to the Horde what Grand Marshal is to us Alliance.

The PVP gear and Tiered gear are different for end game purposes. In end game you need different sets for healing, feral, fire resist, nature resist, shadow resist, etc. Also as an end game druid, i look for high spirit, +healing, and +MP5 over intell. It'll also depend on what spec you are. If you go feral, the PVP gear would be better than the tier 1/2 sets as those gear more towards resto caster druid.

I for one don't like to PVP, I only go into the BG's to heal my husband when he keeps asking me to. Usually i get wtfpwned in healer form. But, i've always been specced resto and will not change. (I hope they give my tree the dance back in the expansion back )

i'm a balance druid. from what i saw at SI-7, you earn the grand marshal stuff by honor points. are they quest drops, too?

Nope. PvP honor stuff only.
I do not have any pvp gear at all. (It also means my dkp is low, as the most of the other druids in the guild have pvp gear along with their tier sets and don't spend so much on the trinkets/weapons as I do)

My class leader told me that the Grand Marshal hammer is much better than most end game weapons for druids with the +55 healing enchant on it, but I don't like to pvp enough to grind away at the honor required for it.
