Way to go Horns!! That was too close for comfort. Conn. gave everyone an exciting game to watch. They should be able to take Mich. St. on Sunday and go on to the Final 4.

But now the Dallas Mavs. are getting spanked by the Portland Trailblazers REALLY bad! What happened tonight guys?

Nope, it really IS going to be all mine! NONE of my final 4 picks made it through. Just not my year, I guess. SIGH. I'll stick to Survivor, I guess.

My Final 4: Kentucky, Arizona, Texas, Syracuse (I really think OU's top scorer Hollis Price's groin pull is going to "pull" Oklahoma down-not to mention second leading scorer Eri's broken hand. The two of them scored a total of 8 points against Cal. Syracuse is no Cal (assuming they beat Auburn).)

I can't believe that I did not pick Kansas to beat Arizona...went against my gut and lost that one! With no teams in one-half of the bracket, I gotta hope my Horns pull it out. Syracuse looks tough, real tough!

My dad, who passed away recently, was a Marquette grad. He was a fan even when times where tough. I'm sure he's smiling now!

What, no congrats to UT. The team that they said did not deserve a #1 seed is now the ONLY #1 seed in the Final 4. I think we have proven that we deserve to be there. O.K., if no one else will do it, I will:

CONGRATULATIONS LONGHORNS!!!!!

Congratulations Kara! You all simply outplayed us. I turned the TV off with 6:30 left in the first half after my dogs were looking at me like I was insane and my wife was giving me "the" look.

I haven't watched ESPN, I won't watch any more tourney games. Good thing baseball starts today.

I was getting "the look" from my girlfriend when Georgia was losing to Florida during the football season. That's a huge win, I know Kentucky was thought to be one of the teams to win it all. I guess we've officially experience the "shock and awe" phase of the tournament....

Z I just can't see Kara doing the Dick Vitale, she does not look the part?
I posted last week about my friend seeing Texas in San Antonio, he said the UT vs. Conn. was AWESOME!!
Congrats. are certainly in order for all the Texas fans. They will have another good one against Syr., that will be the real championship game.
I just looked on the desk here at home and noticed my daughter's Championship Bracket pullout from Sports Ill. she has it all filled out, down to the final 4. I know where she will be come Saturday afternoon. Glued to the TV yelling at the Officals, like a good basketball fan is supposed to do.
GO LONGHORNS!!

But you've got to admit, they were the number 1 seed in the softest bracket of the four.

That said, at least you've still got a team in the hunt. Since my heart bleeds Duke blue during basketball season, we're already starting to look to next year. Recent posts on the Duke Basketball Report website bulletin boards are focused on speculation of who will be our starting five next year, who will get the most playing time, etc. It's sad!

I can't disagree with that, but the best team in the nation should get the softest bracket and the most favorable Elite 8 location.

I wonder if anyone else in our group has more than 1 team left in this year's crazy Final 4? I'll venture to guess that the leaders of this bracket challenge will change dramatically over the weekend and after Monday night. If Texas wins, it will be a favorable change for me--though I will get zero points on the Marquette v. Kansas game, regardless of who wins.

Last year, I had a rough first round, but because I accurately picked Duke to bow out early and made some other good picks, I started out very slowly and then ended up finishing well--even though I did not pick the eventual winner--but I was in good company there.

The only good finish this year is a Texas win. It sure is nice to be able to root for your picks and your team at the same time, but as a Duke fan, you already know that.

Congrats to the ladies at the top of the BOL Sweet 16 Heap!!! I think they both should get t-shirts for whooping the stuffing out of all the BOL-men who played hard, but came up short.

No way- I can't believe it, that is hilarious!! I can't get on the site at work, so I will have to check it when I get home to see if you are telling the truth Kara.
That was fun- so what's coming up next? I guess we have to wait until the College World Series, or we could do one for the Masters--

I hear a challenge Jill. The Masters Fantasy Challenge starts here: The Masters

But keeping with Masters tradition and because you women kicked our butts in the Sweet 16, women are not permitted to join. Ah, heck, I'm feeling generous and enlightened today--go ahead and join in the fun.

Hey, how 'bout the Big East sweeping the championships: NIT, men's NCAA, and women's NCAA?! It's never been done before.

And this from the conference that can't get no love from the bracket-makers. It's also the only conference to place 3 teams in the Final Four of the men's NCAA (1985: Villanova, Georgetown, and St. John's).

Go Big East!

Nothing quite like trash talk, is there.

There's only one thing to know about golf these days, and that is Tiger. The real challenge is gathering a foursome that will all do well. With the wet fairways and receptive greens all of the pundits are saying that the big hitters will have a greater advantage than normal.

A rain delay has postponed the first day of the Masters, so you still have time to make an entry to the BOL group. Only seven participants so far.
