I say...My name is Pam and I'm a BOL addict. I've been an addict for the past 2 years. My day is not complete without logging on at least 10 times a day to check out the threads.

You say...We love you Pam and we're here to support you. "Everyone claps".

We love you Pam.

My name is Skittles and I'm a BOL addict. I wake up in the morning and tell myself - this will be the day I log in less than 12 times, but then I fail.

We love you Pam & Skittles.

I tell myself that I'm only allowed to check in once an hour. And any time that I have to be online to check something else out. It's amazing how many things have to be checked out in the space of any given hour........

Hello...my name is Jennifer and I am a BOL Addict. Some days I actually have to force myself not to check the treads because doing so always creates more work for me. Don't get me wrong, I love it but somedays I just need to work down the pile and not add to it! Too many people here have great new ideas that I want to try too

Hello, my name is Marilyn and I'm a BOL addict. I get really frustrated when I haven't logged on for a few days and have so many threads to read. I just can't ignore them!

Hello my name is Anita and I'm a BOL addict. I have a hard time leaving once I sign in and find myself still reading hours later...in between calls, meetings and even missing lunch! I just can't stop there's so much to gain here!

Hello, my name is Jim and I'm an addict. I actually made a vow a few weeks ago to not access BOL Threads during the workday and had Ann checking up on me for accountability. But she slacked off, and now I'm back. Help!

Oh, is that what this meeting is about? I'm used to just showing up at meetings so I can find out what's going on around here. I saw the donuts on the credenza and thought, oh well....

Hello, my name is William. I’m a BOL addict. I try not to log on more than once per hour during the day and for no more than 10 minutes at a time and only once when at home. But I fail…. Anyway, you’re a great bunch; I love all of you (well maybe…). And I know y’all are gonna help me – we can kick this habit. I hope… or at least try, or something.

My name is Tom and I am a BOL addict - - - The only way I have found to control it is not to sign on at all. Sure! That lasts about two days! First, I find myself "sneaking" on at home at night, anonomously of course. When I see what I have been missing, I have to restrain myself hoping it will go away by morning. The next day, I start hoping someone will ask me a question so I can say "Wait, I know where I can find out." Then I'm hooked for a few more days until I can get myself back under control again. Come to think of it, I have the same problem with chocolate!

My name is Lestie, and I'm a BOL addict. I just sign on in the morning, and leave the board up all day long - just minimize it in the corner. Haven't started signing on at home since we have DSL at work, and I have a slow connection at home, so it's not much fun.

My name is Leslie and I am a BOL addict. As others have stated, I start out the day planning to stay away. But then something in me starts to stir. I just HAVE to check out what's going on. I usually check in about every hour or so. I don't have a lot to contribute but try when I can. I almost showed this site to my husband at home one weekend. And then I changed my mind. He thinks I'm a big enough nerd already. This would just put it over the top.

My name is Rebekah and I am unabashedly a BOL addict. I don't even pretend not to be. First thing in the morning, I boot up the computer, read the new BOL Compliance Briefing in my inbox, get my "strip fix" of the daily For Better or For Worse comic strip, and merrily click my way over to The Threads.

Every workday morning, that is my routine, and heaven help you if you interrupt it! Throughout the day I must also check in - it calms the nerves, loosens tight muscles, and steadies my heart rate. Why would I want to stop?

My name is Ellen and I am NOT an addict. I read every post (except CIP) every day, including weekends. I don't have a problem and I can't believe that people feel this could be a problem. OK, got to go now - I may be missing a post on General Discussion or Loans (but I'M NOT AN ADDICT).

OK - Dawnie was covering that critical CRA question in
General, nothing posting in Lending in the last minute in Lending but, I repeat, I am not an addict!

Hello, my name is Cherish and I am a BOL addict. I check the boards daily. I have gone as far as to show my man some posts. Whenever I come across a good picture or quote, I think "I can use that for BOL".
I do not post alot, but I do enjoy the fun and dedication to the job that is evident throughout the posts. This is the first site I go to whether at work, home, or on the road. (Having good HP discussions doesn't help my case either )

Hello. My name is Andy. I'm not an addict. I don't even know why I'm on this thread at 9 PM. I can take it or leave it. I simply choose to take it, a lot of it, most of the day and a good part of the night. If I don't get it, I'm cranky, I shake and I'm sad, but it is all in will power.

As long as I have power, I will.

My name is Deena and I didn't think I was a BOL addict, but now I'm not sure. I'm going on vacation for almost two weeks and will have no access to the Internet. At first I thought that was a great thing - time to spend with family and all. But now, as it gets closer, I can already feel my anxiety level rising and I'm thinking about the potential withdrawal symptoms. I hope I can suffer through and enjoy myself.

Hello. My name is Jonathon. And I am and addict.
I mean, I heard everyone talking about it, but I said to myself, "It won't happen to me."
It was all so easy.
Just post one message.
"Wow," I would say, "people responded...and really quickly."
Just post one more message. Read what people wrote again. Slowly but surely, I was hooked.
I couldn't say "no." My day was just not complete without "visiting" BOL.
I could hear others voices, "He's so young...how could it happen?"
Well here I am. And it can happen to you.
