On August 26, 2003, the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas declared
Dayton's Predatory Lending Ordinance to be in direct conflict w/Ohio law
and, therefore, unenforceable. If you'd like to read a copy of the Judge's decision,
you can access it at the following link:

It's called the "DECISION, ORDER, AND ENTRY SUSTAINING DFNDT'S MOTION FOR JUDGMENT ON THE PLEADINGS FILED
03-19-03; SIGNED BY JUDGE DAVIS". Click on the camera to view the .pdf image.

The City filed an appeal, so now the validity of the Dayton ordinance shifts to the 1st Appellate District in Hamilton County for further determination.

I was not able to bring up the site. I would like to read it though. Do you know of any other way to bring it up?

I got the link to the site from one of the employees at the Dayton Law Library. Heres what she told me:

"If you visit the Law Library's web site at www.daylawlib.org and access our law related links by scrolling down on the left side of the screen, you'll be able to link to the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Public Records Online from the Miscellaneous and Other Sites listing. At the search screen enter the Case number in the field on the right. Enter it as 2002 CV 3441. It should bring up the link to only one case. Click on that. Then at the case information screen, click on the link to the printer friendly docket. This will list all activity and the documents with a camera next to them are in full text.".

I hope this helps.
