I wish both parents were off the air and only the children were on.

I'm the youngest of eleven, and the only reason, in my opinion, why my parents had so many kids was because they were brainwashed influenced by the Catholic Church.
(This was back in the 50's, 60's and 70's) When we were little my father had to work three jobs so he could support us.
I wouldn't trade my family for anything in the world, but I wish these reality shows would show a more realistic view of a large family. How about showing the physical effects of having so many children has on the mother?

As for Jon and Kate, they both make me sick.

Although I don't practice it anymore, I try to be respectful of it, and I was raised Catholic and didn't see the brainwashing take place even when I was in Catholic School.

Alright, maybe I took that a little differently than the original poster meant it so I edited my original response; I apologize.

I'll bet I've a lot more years of Catholicism under my belt and witnessed priests from both ends of the spectrum. The post wasn't necessarily bashing as much as a reaction to what the poster lived.

It's all in the presentation, czar. Some priests can make the simplest of Catholic principles seem like absolutes. And you can expand that to other religions as well. As a Catholic, I take no offense from the poster's view.

The poster also stated, 'in my opinion.' I do not believe she was trying to present anything as fact.

Not trying to offend, just stating what I experienced from my pov. Actually, when I was in Catholic School, we didn't dare question what the nuns or priests taught us. Not only would you get whacked by the nuns, you'd probably get it from your parents, too. My parents were so by the book, that they would never question the churches teaching on birth control. Then again, if they did, y'all probably wouldn't have yours truly...hee, hee, Actually, I do still go to church, although I'm not down with some of their teachings, anymore.
