This brings up another questions. Why are some records permanent?
For example, in my state (Tennessee) call reports have a permanent retention. When or why would someone need to see a call report from years ago. We pay to have these stored offsite, but what is the point?
Most states allow for electronic retention of records. Those musty boxes could probably be reduced to a single CD if scanned, That would take up a lot less space, and be easier to retrieve.
