remember, we are the same person!!! lol
As far as fantasy books I think we did- But I also got about 10 crotch novels- it'll be interesting to see if we both got any of those. :P I was going to try and lend you the 99c book The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter, but it's not lendable I think you would like that one. As mentioned before, there are like a dozen or so in the series.

Was at B&N last night with the kiddos and my 12 y.o. son, who generally reads as much potty humor as he can and rarely anything serious, (except Rick riordan & a few of the H.P. books), actually chose a book from the teen section, a superhero book. Anything he picks up these days he's blowing through in 1 or 2 days so I'm thankful that he decided it was time to step up into a bigger commitment. Just a side note, my daughter came pre-packaged with the Evelyn Wood speed reading program already installed and can somehow tear through any given book, no matter how large in one day. Has not made it easy to keep her in reading materials.

I think my daughter came with the same program.

I have one more book in the Midnight Breed series and I'll be caught up. Then I'm just playing the waiting game on new releases for most of the series I read.

I have about 6 books that I've started reading last year and I just resolve to finish each of them one at a time this year! I have 3 others waiting to be read but I won't let myself pick them up until I've finished the others.

Started the Scottish Prisoner by Diana Galbadon but decided to re-read the Outlander series first. I looooooooove that series. However, I do not care for Lord John so I skip all of his books.

I don't care for the Lord John books either. The first chapter of Scottish Prisoner was from Jaime's point of view, but when I got to the next chapter that is when I decided to re-read the series. I'll probably read this one because it does have Jaime in it.

I think my daughter came with the same program. My son reads Rick Riorden and all of the Harry Potter and Narnia books and anything having to do with Greek mythology. He's almost 11 and he reads through them so quickly. I wish I had his focus when it came to reading.

Complicated- I think our kids would get along really well. My daughter is 10- and her favorite books were Narnia until Percy Jackson came out. Now she reads anything mythology she can get her hands on.

The Boleyn Inheritance - Philippa Gregory LOVE Philippa Gregory books!! My favorite is The Queen's Fool. My only complaint is that she wrote them in such a bizarre order, I find it much easier to read if you can figure out the chronological order of the books.

Agreed!
The Queens Fool was good, but was it historical?

probably not entirely- but i think that's what i liked about it. it had just that hint of the supernatural, but not so much that it's completely obsurd.

That was an awful book, I mean, good but tragic. Oh, good grief! I finished it yesterday. Why do I do this to myself? You would think that I had learned my lesson with some of her earlier reads. Will I read her again? Absolutely, but will definitely need some lighter reading before I pick up the next one.

Does anyone want these copies of Jim Butcher's books as I finish them? I do like them but don't plan to keep them for my 'permanent collection'. I don't have the first couple, but do have a bunch of the middle ones in paperback, and I'd be happy to send someone a box o' books.....

Started re-listening to Hunger Games today, in preparation for the movie coming out in March (can't wait!)

I have the most recent Midnight Breed waiting for me on my Kindle. It has been an incredibly busy week and have just not felt much like reading at night.

Didn't I read on here somewhere that there was a traveling box of books? I'd be willing to take a look at what you have EGB, add some of my own and forward on a box to someone else.
