I haven't seen Dragon Tattoo yet, but have heard good things.

I have been surprised how well they did with turning Game of Thrones into a tv series.

Are you sure she wasn't just forwarding to see those guys with their shirts off? whistle

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
Kid Wonder and I saw Part I - meh! We're really waiting for Part II when all the action takes place.

There is a Twilight sweepstakes you can enter to win a trip for 2 to Los Angeles for the Premier of Part II OR

win one of 3 trips to Australia!

Hoping for Australia myself........

I KNOW!! They did an AWESOME job (OK, I had some minor quibbles but overall......) I can't wait for Season 2 - looks like an April 1 premier is likely.

I hope they do some reruns on HBO before the new season. I haven't seen Season 1 yet.

I haven't seen all of them. I may have to just go ahead and get the DVD since we don't get HBO anymore. Though it's tempting to resubscribe just for GoT. smile

I was!!! lol- gotta love the Hotness that is a Twilight Wolf. smile

Currently reading Balefire- It's a series of 4 books put in one volume. 1/2 way through 1st book. it's a about pair of twins who were seperated at birth when mom dies- one grows up with grandma knowing she's a witch, the other with dad does not. When twin B's dad dies, she is taken by a family "friend" from boston to New Orleans- where she bam- runs right into her twin. the author does a good job with the teens emotions- Especially Twin A who doesn't want to have to share her room ro grandma. lol

I subscribed short-term last year just for GoT, and it screwed up our whole contract with Verizon. It was SUCH a pain to get untangled, I don't dare re-try this year. So I don't know what I'm going to do about watching this next season. It's not available on iTunes (at least, I haven't heard that they are going to make it available - S1 wasn't and still isn't.)

Finished Books 1 & 2 of the Hunger Games audio books, and have started the 3rd one, "Mockingjay". They're so darn good.

Listening to "Making of a Chef" by Michael Ruhlman. The book itself is interesting but the narrator is horrible.

I'm reading The Magicians and having a hard time not comparing it to Harry Potter.

I read Janet Evanovich's Twelve Sharp last night. Really enjoyable. This is the first Stephanie Plum book I have read, I am looking forward to reading others. I have Seventeen and Eighteen waiting on me.

My mom has tried to get me to read Evanovich for a while now, but I just couldn't seem to find the time.

I like those books too, PSB. But The earlier ones were better, IMO. I felt like she got a little formulaic after 12-13.

Perhaps I just read too many in a row, too quickly.

Thanks for the heads up Kitten. My mom says my Aunt has a bunch of the earlier ones. She is going to her house today for their monthly "Sister Lunch" so she said she would see what she could find.

I think I will mix them up a little bit. I am normally so o.c.d. I would have to read them in order, but I am trying to chill out a little...
