The CTR instructions have been updated as of December 2013 for Version 1.3.

The SAR Instructions have also been updated as of December 2013 for Version 1.3.

The "Revision History" at the beginning of each document includes a chronological listing of all changes since the inception of the report including these. The current changes appear to be minor, but should be implemented.

Apparently, FinCEN does not intend to announce these, so if you notice more in the future a "heads up" to the community would be good.

On the CTR revision, does anyone understand their statement regarding box 2d and 4b? I cannot find 4b.

When I open a new CTR on the BSA E-Filing System it is still version 1.2

The version is the version of the instructions and the electronic submission format.
