We have imaged transactions on an old system. They are from 2003. I've been trying to determine the retention requirements. I don't see anything close to this that is more than 6 yrs. Does anyone know of anything different?

It all depends on what the information is. Most likely, you've been holding on to the records at least 5 years too long. The information should be in the bank's record retention policy. Since you do not have them, try (as they are state specific) to get some from your state's banking association.

Absent of that, the Assn of Management Accountants (I believe) has one for sale.
