Perhaps someone in this forum may have encountered the following problem and can assist me. I am beyond frustrated with the BSA E-filing Help Desk. Almost approaching two weeks, I am having issues with sending a batch out. I have spoken to two reps (takes them three days to return calls) and they could not answer my question. Email attempts - they issued me a ticket # and when I speak to a rep, they tell me the ticket is closed.

When attempting to send a SAR Batch out (hitting the submit button), has anyone received the following error message:
You must first log in to the BSA E-filing application in order to submit this form. Once logged in, you may then re-open this form and submit.

I have all the system requirements - browser and Adobe all up to date, etc. My IT Department has done everything they possibly could. If anyone has encountered this issue, can you kindly PM and let me know. Many thanks.

Maybe a dumb question but you are logged into the Efiling website and using the browse button to find the file right? The only reason I ask is that I got that error last week when I had just opened a CTR outside of the website and clicked on submit - I hadn't had my coffee yet smile

Yes, we have received that message before and it was a browser issue with the way the files submit to FinCEN. It's not necessarily anything specific on your part.

Here is our workaround to this situation - we prepare the reports in a FireFox browser, and then submit the reports in an Internet Explorer browser. We have also found that if you are creating a new filing, it will create, prepare and file the report for you in Internet Explorer, however if you are using saved pdf's, that's where we prepare the reports in FireFox, then do the actual submissions in Internet Explorer.

Banker1976, thank you. Next time we send a batch, I'll try a different browser.
