Can someone tell me the date of the last request for 314a? For some reason it seems as though it's been quite some time since I have received one.

All I have gotten is information about the online version.

Thanks!

Can someone enlighten me on the new FIN CEN requirement that we go to their website and pull up the names of people we're supposed to check. How often are you all doing this? AS for back-ups in your absence, do you assign just one person or a number of people. I thought this was all very secretive. My company wants to establish 4 backups. I don't think that's a good idea. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

You should have received an eamil about the online system from Fincen, you should contact them or your regulator.

We have 3 people assigned to receive 314a's.

Fincen is just making it easier and safer to dessiminate the requests. Sending the requests in a word document is not a secure method. Now you have to go to their website, download the file then run it against your database. They will cease sending the emails with the attachments on March 1, 2005. This new method is easier. I think some people are making this an issue when it really is not one. As for your assigned people on your list to receive the requests, check your call report.

The 314a list procedure is now an echo of OFAC list handling isn't it? Give it a couple months and the vendors will have the download and scrub down to a few keystrokes.
