Depends on my mood
My Loan Department has put together a statement stuffer and a lobby ad (placed in holders throughout the teller area)that simply say "find out how to save money on mtg by paying weekly/biweekly." It also states affordable loan programs, stay in house. That's about it. No terms are listed. Does this "advertisement" qualify as "advertising a mortgage product" and therefore fall under the stipulations to have both the EHL logo and wording on it??

Thanks for the input!

I would guess this would not be termed an "advertisement" but more of a "customer information query". I don't understand the "affordable loan programs stay in house".

"Affordable Loan Programs" and "Loans stay in house" were just two bullet points present on the stuffer. They are not a combined "product". I didn't want to get to "wordy" on my post so I listed them sort of together for simplicity purposes.

Yes, lobby signage and statement stuffers are definitely advertisements according to the regs.

Listing rates/terms is not what triggers the EHL logo. Any time you promote mortgage loan products, you trigger it. It depends who your bank's regulator is on how strict they are about including it.
