I got a beautiful diamond ring, roses, vanilla candles, strawberries dipped in my favorite chocolate and we took all our kids to dinner and just had the most wonderful evening ever.

My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day with a romantic dinner too. Waffle House. It was great. We are saving the ole candlelit stuff for a later day! How bout them apples? It's certainly not a one size fits all celebration of love, but when you are with your soulmate it really doesn't matter.

My oldest son who lives in San Francisco delighted in calling last night to "ask what we did for Valentine's Day" and rub it in that they ate outside on the patio of a nice resturant!!! Smarty pants, just had to rub it in that it was 60 degrees there and around 5 degrees in Chicago area last night.
