I can't read in bed. Instead of making me sleepy it has the opposite effect and I'd stay up all night reading!
I'm currently reading Toil and Trouble, the second book in the Jolie Wilkins series by H.P. Mallory. She's an indie author and only tried her first book because it was .99 on Kindle. Glad I did.

Has anyone read Last Light by Terri Blackstock? It was a Kindle freebie (or very nearly free - can't remember). Spooky!

I'm reading that as well. It is very interesting to read his point of view on all of these decisions. I'm currently in the Afghanistan chapter.

I'm reading Stella Dallas by Olive Higgins Prouty. It was written in 1923 then renewed in 1950, so it's been difficult read (excessive punctuation, lexicon has changed). I'm halfway through and determined to finish it.

Just finished ROOM by Emma Donaghue. She writes as a 5 year old boy named Jack. He and his Mom are captive in a 11 x 11 room. She is visited at night by Old Nick, their capturer. Very intriguing, I couldnt put it down!

I started reading the Bible from the beginning and was determined to read straight through, even got an app on my phone so I could read anytime. But I've fallen behind on my daily readings. Seeing that you are on your 6th time reading it, inspires me to get back on track and get all the way through it.

about 10 years ago I also decided I was going to read the old testament straight through. I got halfway through Genesis, where "he begat him, and he lived XXX years. And he begat him... yada yada" and I stopped. Unfortunetly I never did pick it back up.

The good thing about it was that it mixed things up each day. You'd read a chapter in Genesis, then a chapter in Luke, whatever. As I recall, most days you were reading 5 to 10 chapters. I know the daily requirement was short enough that I often read ahead to part of the next day's list. Anyway, I'd say I got done in maybe 10 months. I would guess there is something similar available on the internet. (You could skip the New Testament chapters if you wanted!)

I have a "read the Bible in 365 days" book. Like your chart, it mixes so you are reading different books every day.

Someone on my facebook posted something about reading the Bible through in 90 days. Was thinking of trying that one. In my honost opinion, reading the Bible through from cover to cover just one time should be on everyone's bucket list. I have found that the greatest time of spiritual blessing is when my nose is in that book. I know that sometimes it isn't the most stimulating of reading, but you know what, there are things about our lives that aren't real stimulating and GOd still cares about us Just read The Good Earth It was a good read, went very fast. I am excited to start Decision Points with all the good feedback here

I finished Darkly Dreaming Dexter at lunch. Very odd, but entertaining. I'll be reading more if I find them on sale.

The only thing I'm reading is the CAMS Study Guide. Has anyone taken that test?
