I've always wanted to do a spin class!! What was is like?

We warmed up - "flat road with the wind in your face". Then we did sprints - 30-60 seconds of pedaling as fast as we could with a little resistance. Then hill - low hill, moderate hill, standing climb - all based on the level of resistance we put on the flywheel.

Then more hills, more sprints, more hills ( ) more flat road, then a cool down. 60 minutes of it.

Wow! Sounds like fun!

At the time, I didn't think so, but afterwards, I definitely thought it was fun. I'm hoping I can go again Thursday or Friday.

Spin class sounds like fun. I'm tired of my same ole stationary recumbent bike.

Me-OWWW!

NP - Spin class was SO MUCH BETTER than just doing the stationary bike. And the hour really did go by fast. I find that I get easily distracted and bored just doing the stationary.

I went to my running training group on Tuesday. Turns out I won an entry into a 10k race in August. THe 6,000 race entries usually sell out in about 20 minutes. I don't think I will do the 10k, but it's kind of cool. We ran outside. It was great to ask advice and to hear stories from experienced runners.

10K?

Wow that's great and all but sheesh, I wish you could have won something else!! That's a long way!!

I KNOW! I asked them what I need to do if I don't want it.

Run 3 min, walk 90 secs
Run 5 min, walk 2.5 min
Run 3 min, walk 90 secs
Run 5 min
5 min cool-down.

Once you get to 5k the 10K is not that difficult.

Just another couple of weeks training.
