I never stopped using my true middle initial of 'J'; although if I had after my first marriage my initials would have been APE. I used AJE.

The 'J' was given by my parents as a blend of my dad's sister 'Jane' and my mom's sister 'Velma'. My middle name is Javelle, which I always hated, but now not-so-much - especially since they are both gone now.

It never occurred to me to keep my middle initial after I got married, so I went from being an A to a B. I suppose I should have kept it though, then my monogram wouldn't have changed at all. Both maiden and married last names start with B.
