Just finished How to Race in the Rain. One of the most refreshing books I've read in a while. Not cluttered with a lot of extra words to fill up pages. Having been a dog owner and remember looking into those beady brown eyes I can just see her mind working, probably drawing the same conclusions made by the book's narrator.

Reading "Confessions of Military Wife" If you have ever had anything to do with the military, It's Hilarious. Even if you haven't, it's hilarious. The Author is a comedian who has gone on tours with her stand up based on her life as a Marine's Wife, and decided to write a book so she could tell some of the stories more completely.
I was reading last night in bed, and my boyfriend (a former Marine) said he has never heard me laugh so much from a book, not even very many movies. I read him a couple parts and even he was giggling.
GREAT book for a pick me up.

After all the hoopla about it, I'm trying to read Fifty Shades of Grey. So far I'm not very impressed. Same here. I would call them Ok. Just ok. Pretty bad when there are so many sex scenes that I just started skipping over them. ::yawn:: I did finish them but only because I wanted to see how they turned out as a couple. Anyone else feel that way or should I be worried about myself?

haven't read it yet, but I did pick up the Shoeless Joe Jackson book that Field of Dreams was based on. I also really want to read the Jim Abbot Biography.
