We are having our Fair Lending exam. ? about the transfer taxes. The GFE to the HUD1 was the difference of the deed stamps. The HUD1 listed the amount the customer paid and the GFE was overstated by that amount, the deed stamp amount.Examiners are saying the deed stamps are not to be included in the transfer taxes. I do not see anything that says what it should be. Can anyone clarify this for me so I can tell the examiner? We have looked at the RESPA Q&As and it is not clear.

I show Florida Doc Stamps in Block 8, transfer tax.

When I did FL and GA loans, we showed the following in TT:

Intangible tax
GA Transfer Tax (on purchase)
FL Doc Stamps

Where do you list the Intangible taxes? I put the Documentary Stamps on line 1205, but am not sure if the intangibles should go on 1204 or create a specific line say 1206?

I think it's going under County Deed on 1204. I'll try to confirm that and post an ETA.
