OK...what book made TastyKakes famous???
And now without Twinkies, how are we supposed to make that special cake for bachelorette parties! They're a Philly thing QM. They were in pretty bad trouble, and a southern company bought them out and hopefully gave them a wider market. I like them as a kid, but really don't care for them anymore. My aunt used to work for them, and my dad would be one very unhappy 80something if they went away.

Why take an 8% pay cut when you can just become unemployed instead! ::wonders if unemployment numbers will miraculously decrease again this month::  Most of the time striking employees are not eligible for unemployment. Do they then become eligible for employment when they shut the whole factory down?

yes, assuming the strike was not invalidated in the courts (think air traffic controllers in the early 80s and Reagan firing all of them)...and even better, the union would still expect them to be paying dues from their unemployment.
