I think John is the only one who started in banking earlier than me!!! February, 1970 is my date and I am on my fourth bank! I was at the first bank for 27 years before they were acquired, then I had a very short-term job at a credit union, then I was at the second bank for only three years before they were acquired (that was by same group of "Mainers" that bought John's bank) and now I have been at this bank for 9 months and it has been acquired!!! People are starting to tell me that it's my fault that all these places are being bought out!

June 26, 1967. I've seen a few changes over the years. There was no Reg.Z, no BSA, etc. Banking was fun then.

Pedaling along a scenic highwa...
I'm either the baby of the group (in banking years) or nobody as "young" as me is brave enough to admit it.

I've been in banking just a little over 3 years. I started as a drive-thru teller on January 4, 2001.

Okay Skittles, since you agreed you started at an early age too - by my calcs, you're 34-35. And L'Devil, you're 30. By the calcs I did on myself, I'm 29. So yeah, I'm younger!
Wouldn't you agree that it was difficult seeing over the counters at such a young age!?!

Luckily, due to my height impairment, I didn't have to see over the counters. I was originally hired because of my typing ability and worked in the credit administration area.

OK
I worked summers in college at a savings & loan beginning in 1975. Graduated, got married and worked in insurance putting my husband through graduate school. Then moved back and went to work for another savings and loan in 1982. We were purchased by a bank in 1994 (worked there 3 months & switched to another bank) and have been here ever since. So I have worked in the financial institution industry for at least 22 years straight.
