My wife and I are on two completely different planes here. I detest Miracle Whip. I don't like the taste, don't like the texture, just...yuck! She feels the same about mayo. So we keep our fridge stocked with both.

What say you, mayo or Miracle Whip?

Mayo in a romp. Miracle Whip is nasty.....it tastes like cheap mayo with a pound of sugar dumped in it.

Way, way south.
Grew up on Miracle W-hip, but as an adult I cannot stand the stuff and now only use mayo, but with a side of horse radish mayo.

Any where but work
They each have their own place in my kitchen, depending on the recipe; they are not interchangeable. We use miracle whip on sandwiches, in deviled eggs or egg salad, inside grilled cheese sandwiches, for coleslaw dressing, on soda crackers with a slice of cheddar cheese and onion slices. I have a yummy no cook corn dip recipe that uses mayo and a yummy baked artichoke dip that uses mayo. Both but for different purposes at our house.

I like mayo, but it doesn't go on some things...for example, i would never, ever order a cheeseburger with mayo. Mustard goes on burgers and hot dogs.

One deer, I'd never thought to put either one inside a grilled cheese! I bet that's delish.

But mayo. Always mayo (not that I use it that often).

FWIW - my mom and stepdad keep both mayo and miracle whip stocked for the same reason you do, burkemi!

They wish to add useless sodium and sugar to foods?

I was raised on Miracle Whip (actually, the store brand version of miracle whip) so that is what I prefer. My husband calls both "yucko" so we stock at most only one.

Grew up with Miracle Whip and didn't like mayo - and now I'm the opposite. Mayo all the way! Miracle Whip has a tang that I just can't get past any longer.

I've seen a few say no to mayo on burger/sandwiches.....but that's about the only thing I use mayo for!

A properly prepared hotdog works in this order: Bun, Mayo, wiener, chili, diced onions and/or cole slaw, mustard

I use both for different purposes, and I am not the type to dictate to someone else what (or who) they should love.

Growing up we had both in the fridge. My fridge only as one, and it is not miracle whip. Mayo must be Best Foods/Hellmann's. Besides, my husband said he would divorce me if I put a bottle in the fridge.

I grew up on ranch dressing on sandwiches rather than mayo or MW. Don't really use any of them now as I prefer a good whole grain mustard.

Miracle Whip is just nasty.

Dukes is the ONLY mayonnaise, if ,mayo is required.

Mustard must be VERY yellow...like Frenches. smile

I LOVE mustard.

Same with us. My wife is all about the Miracle Whip. I'm mayo - specifically Dukes Mayonnaise (it's a southern thing). I will say, though, my wife does have a couple of salad recipes (macaroni salad; potato salad) and a cucumber recipe that are pretty darn good with MW. But on a sandwich - Duke's by a mile over MW.

Isn't Miracle Whip considered a 'dressing?"...and mayo, well mayo? ;-)

I'm weird. I can use either/or. But usually opt for yellow mustard.
