Abita Amber or Abita Bock (local brewery, but available in most of the south now) Shiner Bock Amstel Light Negra Modelo - best Mexican beer I've ever had Warsteiner Dark
Heineken if nothing else available.

Amstel Light
It always kills me when the bartender says "We have Amstel Light" when I order an Amstel. AMSTEL ONLY MAKES LIGHT! It is Heineken light.

Not much of a beer drinker anymore. It think it is from the consumption of too much cheap beer when I was young and broke.
However, I have to go with happy on the Negra Modelo...most awesome! I also like Dos Equis (prefer green over amber).

I am partial to Warsteiner.
Oh, yum. Warsteiner. Reminds me of my college days hanging out in Germany with my crazy German relatives. How I would LOVE to have a REAL Warsteiner. Not an imported one, but a real, non-processed for the USA, Warsteiner. Sigh.

LadyLuck, I with you. I don't drink much beer, but on a hot summers day I really enjoy one. My husband only drinks foreign beers with the exception of Sam Adams. I enjoy a Fischer from the Alsace region of France.

For mass consumption it's Bud Light. For enjoying more slowly, I like Boddingtons, Murphy's Irish Stout, Bass Ale, Young's Oatmeal Stout, or Newcastle Brown Ale. Mmmm...beer. I guess I know what I'm doing tonight!

Has anyone had the Budweiser Select? I really like it. No aftertaste, less carbination I think than regular beer and it is a light beer too. Otherwise, either Coors Light or Bud Light. Miller gives me a headache even if I only have one.

Oh, I didn't realize this was a light beer. I tried it and was unimpressed - but I thought it was supposed to be just a premium version of Bud Diesel.

That could be why you were unimpressed. If you are looking for leaded and got unleaded.

Now, if you're drinking Bitters in England, it's served somewhere in the 50s, not cold. And, it is fabulous.

I know everyone's entitled to their own tastes, but that is just sad. Combined with your saying at the bottom of your posts, you need to get out more. (Psssst....I'm just kidding!)

Beagle Queen, no beer has an aftertaste when followed by another. As my friends used to say: "I believe I'll have a brewski or twoski!"

Reminds me of the famous line...what do coors light and making love in a canoe have in common? They're both %^&*&^% closed to water!
