Nice. Sony owns them right? Is there any pushing of Sony Label music on their network?

I am not really sure.
It's alot better than regular radio. I am in my car alot and it's best because of no commercials, there is ALWAYS something good on because there are so many channels and you don't have to listen to stupid djs. They do have them but they don't stay on as much. It's also uncensored so you don't hear beeps and you can hear jokes and songs the way they were meant to be heard.

I should be getting paid for all this pushing of the product!!

well I went home last nite and opened the vault, crawled in pushing my way through till I got to a box marked tickets and lo and behold there it was.I checked the date and it says Jimi Hendricks June 27th 1970 sec. 87, row G, seat 2. $7.00. It was Nov 5th, 1973 I saw the J.Geils Band, my mistake. so if you want to remember a concert you went to 35 years ago, SAVE YOUR TICKET. Here are some others I went to:
*Allman Bros. April 12th 1972 - $6.00
*Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick Tour Nov.1 1972 - $4.00
*Johnny Winter May 30th 1974 $5.50 Cape Cod Colliseum
*the Tubes April 23rd 1976 $7.50 - front row center
*Eagles/Fleetwood Mac July 25th 1976 Schaefer Stadium $9.00
*Blue Oyster Cult Mar.2, 1984 $10.50 Worcester Centrum
*David Gilmore May 1984 Orpheum Theater
*Stevie Ray Vaughan July 28th, 1984- the Channel $9.50
*Bruce Springsteen Sept. 5th 1984 - Worcester Centrum $16
*Frank Zappa Oct. 28th, 1984 $10.50
*U2 Dec. 2,1984, Worc. Centrum $13.50
*U2 Apr. 16th 1985 Worc. $13.50
*Neil Young & Crazy Horse Sept. 20th 1986 - $18.50
*Huey Lewis & the News Aug. 24th 1987 - $17.50
*Boston Aug. 14th 1987 Worc. Centrum $18.50
*Cher Sept. #rd 1989 Great Woods mass. $26.50
*Travis Tritt June 26th 1994 $37.00
*Eagles-Hell Freezes Over Tour-Aug.9th 1994- $45.50
*Rolling Stones Sept. 5th 1994 - $50.00 Foxboro Stadium

Well, there's my trip down memory lane (no pun intended)
and again my apologies to the Hendricks Estate for the date mixup.

The 3 best concerts I have ever been to: (and please don't laugh!)

1. OzzFest (the same one I was lamenting about in regards to System of a Down totally sucking!) Just being in the presence of Ozzie was amazing. Couldn't understand a word he said, but it didn't matter because the audience sang the songs for him. And Rob Zombie was the best!

2. Deep Purple and Scorpions - wow! DP is one of my favorite all time bands, so I was so stoked to see them. Amazing!

3. Bon Jovi in the 80's. Big hair, great butt, dreamy rocker...need I say more?

Who cares!! Just watched Bon Jovi on Crossroads (CMT) with Sugarland. He is still hot, hot, hot!!!

Rainman, I saw George Thorogood in the late 80s in St. Paul, MN. Brian Setzer (post Stray Cats, pre-Orchestra) opened for him. It was one awesome show!

Other favorites would be Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw (especially when Tim came out in a tank top and tight jeans! ).

I saw Bon Jovi in concert a couple of years ago and from a guy's point of view - they rocked. Don't know about the hot hot hot part (my wife could tell you), but they sounded great.

Garth was awesome when I saw him.

My assistant is one of the original members of Tim Mcgraw's fan club and has many pictures of herself with him before concerts. He knows who she is and calls her by name each time she goes to see him. She was just at one of his concerts a few weeks ago in fact.

Barry McGuire, solo, around 1976 or 1977.

Phil Keaggy, solo, 2003 @ Greenville College in Illinois.

P.S. I wish I had seen Stevie Ray Vaughn live.

Anon - You saw The Tubes in their heyday? Cool!

By the time I saw them, they were playing Magic Mountain and Knotts Berry Farm.

The last place I saw them was at the Canyon Club in Agoura. Fey Waybill is still one helluva showman.

Was this the 1974 concert where the ELO live album The Night the Lights Went On (In Long Beach) was taped? I have the CD. It does rock!

Here is a review. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=&sql=10:u8de4j270wau

Bset concert I ever saw was Joe Jackson at Redrocks (Berlin was opening act - they were ok too). Close seconds were Billy Joel, Michael Jackson (yeah yeah, I know - but he was awesome), and Scandal (only because I saw them just as they cam on the scene and it was in a small bar and Patty rocked)

I am not a big concert goer, but I am going to see U2 tomorrow - not a huge fan, but a friend has a skybox and it's free, as is the booze and food, so who am I to not give Bono a chance?!

CD

Homestar, I've seen Keaggy a couple of times (around '83 or '84 and again around '93 or '94) and he was AWESOME both times. First was with full band; second was just him and an acoustic (touring with Twila Paris, who was also fabulous).

His playing is amazing! I've also seen him several times over the years (I think I first saw him play around 1976 or 1977) both with and without a band. He's also a nice guy. Very approachable after his concerts and very humble and down to earth. I've heard Barry McGuire is too, but I've never met him.

McGuire truly has a way with an audience that is rare. He has the ability to turn a theater full of several hundred people into something where everyone feels they're sitting around the fireplace in someone's living room singing songs and enjoying each other's company. (John Denver had that talent too.)

Going round and round
Sting - 1988, Bloomington, IN w/ Brandford Marsalis

John Mellencamp - 1988 - Little 500 in Bloomington, IN. Went to the bike race, and then got a surprise 2 1/2 hour concert from him afterwards.
