Question, we have a list of approved appraisers, my boss is wanting me to keep a file of their resumes, licenses, etc, is there an example of a letter requiring this information and I was thinking there is other data the examiners may be looking for, I'm just not sure, please help and is this something that has to be updated yearly?

Thank you

You should have a process to qualify those on the list. Once qualified, you would need to annually obtain an update of their license or certification. The process does require keeping a file on each and the ability to determine when the license expires. You request to an appraiser would include what you have mentioned plus maybe two examples of the types of appraisals you are qualifying them for.

The ASC is a good source in terms of determining whether an appraiser is current on their license or cert.
