Horsepower @ rpm 240 @ 8300 Torque @ rpm 162 @ 7500
yeah, but its WAY up there in the power band, almost at redline. The Miata's torque is much lower in the power band. The S2000 has to be kept in high RPMs to get it going fast. The Miata can be driven much more conservitivly and still get going pretty good.
Its usable torque vs. unusable torque.

I drive an 06 F150 Lariat Super Crew that I just got after I traded my '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/171,000 miles on it. I absolutely love that truck!! Hubby drives a 96 Ford Ranger, and on nice weekends we take the 97 BMW Z3 out for a ride.

i'd love to but i seriously doubt ANY poster here could afford a maybach or an F1 unless they came from money (or if they were dumb enough to spend that much money on a novelty thereby working to support their car and damning their future).
Okay fine. I guess I'll just take a beer at the bar on Friday.

KCGQ...don't you just LOVE your Solara??? That's what I had before I bought my current car (Infiniti). I loved my Solara and it's hard to beat a Toyota!
