He blew himself up after being trapped by Pakistani security. He was released from Gitmo in 2004 and quickly took up arms again.

I saw this and thought about posting it. He has been part of that militant group doing bombings in Pakistan.

These people are brainwashed and no matter how long we hold them, once we release them, they will return to their perceived fight.

Yup, that is the heart of the issue. What do you do with these people?

Wow. So, you're telling me that all of the efforts made to treat them fairly, prepare their meals as they wish, giving them Korans untouched by the hands of us unclean pigs, and allowing them proper prayer time, etc., resulted in them still wanting to kill us? I am shocked and amazed. [sarcasm font/off]

I know; amazing that all that tenderness didn't turn them around.

Gee too bad he couldn't have timed this around the debate on enemy combatants and prisons etc... Maybe then they would have listened..

Why, you send them to therapy, that's all. Professional therapists such as Russ Feingold, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid should have no problem restoring the humanity of such people. 1st bring them to the mainland so that they receive all the rights and privileges of a U.S. citizen, get them a sound lawyer like John Edwards and get them off of all charges (that is the charges of a common criminal, not an enemy combatant).

This would make them feel a deep love and affection for the West, America and our constitution, so that they'd roam freely throughout the U.S. planting seeds of goodness, like subway bombs and bridge bombs. Therapy, that's the way to go
